So with 6 weeks to go before our five-day adventure begins, we have the first part of our training taking place on Tuesday (6th Sept)!!! The day will take us through the role of a mentor, equipping us with the skills necessary to help run the one day school introduction events, and prepare us for the residential course – can’t wait!!!!
Other bits will also be covered throughout the day, so I have to make sure I am fully prepared;

- Roles & Responsibilities
- Health & Safety
- Running and Reviewing sessions
- Instructing and Assisting the Outward Bound Instructor
- and of course, Activities – Which I assume is why we have been advised to bring ‘warm, waterproof clothing and appropriate footwear!!!
Although feeling a bit nervous, am looking forward to meeting the other Mentors that will be joining this adventure – sooooooooooo excited!!!!
